# Pass 1 — Fable review 2

**Verdict:** Pass 1 is a genuine redesign, not a reskin. All four screens now live in the same pearl-glass world as the reference, the information architecture is right, and the voice ("THE RECEIPTS", "NO MELODRAMA, JUST THE CURVE") is the app's best asset. What separates this from shipping quality is now a short list of finish problems.

## What materially works

- **The visual system holds together.** Pearl gradient, frosted white cards, coral accents, mint for dry, peach for drinking days, small-caps coral overlines above large titles.
- **Track is genuinely fast.** Hero units card, then all six drink cards plus the dry action in the first viewport.
- **History is real product architecture now.** This-week strip → 35-day editable calendar → paginated whole story is the correct three-tier structure.
- **Fate's receipt metaphor is strong.** The long-term receipt, giant average, QR code, and single loud share CTA make this a shareable object rather than a stats screen.
- **Risk's hierarchy is right.** Personal number → curve with your marker → one honest plain-language paragraph → optional depth.

## Candid problems

1. The pale rectangular drink crops are the single loudest amateur tell across Track and Fate. Alpha-matte them or integrate them into matching wells.
2. Fate's risk percentage is not self-explanatory to a recipient, while the average and last-seven-day totals create two competing numbers.
3. The Track decrement affordance is too small and ambiguous, and the dry row is too faint when unavailable.
4. History repeats the latest seven dates in two different encodings; its empty cells look like placeholders rather than a designed empty state.
5. Risk's terminal axis label clips, its blue user marker is off-palette, and “lifetime model” is jargon.
6. Pass 1 cards are flatter than the reference; one restrained specular highlight would close much of the remaining gap.

## Pass 2 punch list

1. Fix drink-art integration everywhere.
2. Make Fate self-explanatory and remove the competing recent-week total.
3. Raise dry-action contrast.
4. Enlarge and clarify the decrement target.
5. Finish Risk's chart and language.
6. Turn History's top week into a distinct summary and design empty calendar cells.
7. Add subtle card gloss and reduce collisions between wallpaper crystals and foreground content.

## Do not change

- The four-tab structure, names, and information order.
- The overline → title → subtitle system and copywriting voice.
- Track's one-viewport 3×2 grid and hero.
- History's three-tier architecture and mint/peach encoding.
- Fate's receipt, QR code, tilt, and single share action.
- Risk's number → curve → plain-meaning hierarchy and honest clamping disclosure.
- The pearl palette, coral accent, and frosted native tab bar.
