The short version: the website never receives your drinking log. Waitlist email and app data are separate.

01 · Waitlist

One address. One launch email.

Joining the waitlist sends your email address and the form location to a Vercel server function. Resend either stores the address as a waitlist contact or delivers it to Jacob’s private waitlist inbox. It is used to tell you when The Damage is available on the App Store—not for a newsletter or unrelated marketing.

Waitlist records are kept until the App Store launch waitlist closes, then removed within 90 days unless the law requires longer retention.

02 · The app

Your log is not website data.

The app stores drink type, time, dry-day check-ins and reminder settings in the app’s private data store. When iCloud is available, Apple CloudKit may sync the log through your private iCloud database. Without iCloud, the app falls back to local storage.

The Damage does not copy your drink history to its own server. The waitlist cannot be joined to your drinking log.

03 · Analytics

Measure the page. Not the person.

Vercel Web Analytics records aggregated page views and anonymous interaction events such as a completed product demo or successful waitlist submission. Analytics events never include your email, typed values, selected weekly units, risk percentage or wheel outcome.

04 · Sharing

Nothing posts itself.

The scorecard is created on your iPhone. It leaves the app only when you deliberately open the iPhone share sheet and choose a destination. Its QR code points to The Damage’s public landing page; it does not encode your private drinking history.

05 · Your choices

See it. Delete it.

To see or delete your waitlist record, email jacobbartlett95@gmail.com. You can remove app history from the app; deleting the app also removes local data. Data already synced to iCloud follows your Apple account and iCloud controls.

The data controller is Jacob Bartlett, London, United Kingdom. Vercel, Resend and Apple act as service providers for the functions described above.
